The ISSA 2020 Legislative Conference was held on February 27, 2020 at the Wintrust offices in Rosemont, IL. More than 30 staffing companies and over 60 attendees checked in for the event and enjoyed a casual lunch, sponsored by our vendor partner and 2020 Platinum sponsor, Assurance.
We had a panel of outstanding legal experts on site to address recent legislation that impacts the staffing industry.
- Toby Malara, Government Affairs Counsel at American Staffing Association, gave the keynote address.
- Diana Karabelas, General Counsel at Advanced Group, led a Q&A on marijuana legislation.
- Jill O’Brien, Partner at Laner Muchin, Ltd. presented a session on Recruiting Practices and Employee Handbooks.
- Felix Gonzalez, Managing Partner at Archer Law Group, reviewed the requirements of the Chicago Fair Workweek Ordinance.
As the speakers wrapped up, attendees anticipated the networking social to follow. This classy reception did not disappoint!
