This holiday season, ISSA was excited to host a drop-off point for Banner Personnel’s Toy Drive and Veteran Holiday Drive at the annual ISSA Holiday Meeting. Our members teamed up to collect a hoard of gifts to benefit local children and veterans.
Banner Personnel coordinates their annual Holiday Toy Drive in collaboration with the Walter & Connie Payton Foundation, and has been dedicated to this fundraiser since 2002. Banner Personnel’s President, Sue Seelander, explained that they first launched the Toy Drive after some of their staff ran into Connie Payton at a local function and were inspired by her commitment to giving back to the local community.
Every year, the drive collects toys for local children in need, for infants through teens, and there has also been the recent addition of the Veteran Holiday Drive, in an effort to collect necessities for local veterans. This is the 12th year Banner Personnel has participated in hosting Toy Drive drop-offs at each of the company’s local branches.
The company’s team members are passionate about supporting this great cause year after year, and are often inspired by how generous their clients are in contributing to the drive. ISSA was honored to provide an opportunity to spread the word and boost the collection of gifts at the annual Holiday Meeting and Client Panel on December 4, 2014.
The Banner Personnel team believes this was a record year for collecting an abundance of toys from their colleagues, clients, and the local community. The toys are distributed to Chicagoland children via the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services network.
