ISSA, the state leader in professional development advancing skills and knowledge in staffing professionals, hosted the 3rd Annual Midwest Staffing Conference on May 1, 2014. The dynamic one-day event featured a full day of engaging keynotes and informative workshops by notable speakers including ethics expert Frank Bucaro, staffing industry expert Tom Erb, ASA President and CEO Richard Wahlquist, and Bullseye Recruiting Process developer Greg Doersching. Topics covered included the top 3 reasons why customers choose a business, scheduling tips to maximize productivity, 5 things candidates look for when searching for a job, basics of recruiting and how technology is changing and will continue to change the industry. Many vendors and sponsors including echogravity, Essential StaffCARE, Monster, Automated Business Designs, Tricom Funding, MJA & Associates, Tempworks Software, World Wide Specialty Programs, Damian Service Corporation, Assurance, Keefe, Campbell, Biery & Associates, LLC, and Bullhorn attended the educational event. Conference participants had the opportunity to enter a raffle with prizes including iPad minis, ISSA memberships and various gift cards donated by sponsors. The highly successful and well attended event provided plenty of opportunity to make connections, wrapping up with a cocktail party and networking event.
