Hollywood has the Oscars, Florida has the Daytona 500, and Boston has the marathon.  For staffing professionals here in the Midwest, there’s the “Midwest Staffing Conference”.  The Midwest Staffing Conference is the biggest multi-state conference for staffing professionals in the Midwest.  The Midwest Staffing Conference takes place on April 16, 2015, in Rolling Meadows, IL.  To register go to 2015 MWC Registration.

The Midwest Staffing Conference is chock full of national speakers and loaded with networking opportunities.  The event has sold out the last two years.  Vendor sponsorship in 2014 was so popular that some vendors had to be turned away.  John Seelander, ISSA Past President and Sponsorship Liaison, had this to say, “Vendor participation this year will be at an all-time high.  We have 17 vendors participating in this year’s conference.”

Since the conference is centrally located in Illinois, The Illinois Search & Staffing Association (ISSA) and the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS) take the lead in managing the conference.  Both organizations have co-hosted the event for 4 years.  The event brings a strong presence from Illinois and Wisconsin but also attracts attendees from Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri and Kansas. Several Midwest organizations help to make this event a success and are offering special rates for their members.  Special website registration is available at www.issaworks.com for members of ISSA (Illinois), WASS (Wisconsin), SSAI (Staffing Services Associates/Illinois), MKSSA (Missouri/Kansas) and MNRSA (Minnesota).

This year the conference promises to once again be one of the most dynamic Midwest events for staffing professionals.  With renowned industry speakers such as Jonathan Bowman, Chris Cosmos, John Bartos, Barb Bruno and Dan Fisher, the power of information and learning at the conference runs strong.   The conference has added several lunch table topics to the agenda in April enhancing the attendee experience!

Midwest Staffing Conference Chairperson, Diana Smith, says, “Our goal is to make the event exciting, informative and rich for networking.  This is a fantastic training value for staffing professionals as well. We are especially excited about our “Back to Basics” track with loads of great insight and tips for young professionals who are early in their staffing careers”.  Terri Kosecki, President of the Illinois Search & Staffing Association (ISSA), states, “The Midwest Conference is the perfect venue for Midwest local organization members to align for relevant staffing topics and to discuss issues particular to staffing in the Midwest.  We encourage and welcome all Midwest organization members to participate.”

Lori Malett, President of the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS) says,”WASS is pleased to co-host the fourth annual Midwest Staffing Conference again this year.  This event allows us to pool our resources and secure some of the most prestigious staffing educators and speakers in the industry!  Our members gain exposure to training that often can only be found from attendance at national events.  Moreover, the brainstorming and collaboration between ISSA and WASS has not only allowed us to kick-off a great annual event that has seen significant attendance increases year over year but it also helps support both of our organizations throughout the year.  We have built excellent relationships with board members from ISSA, shared best practices and found the relationships to reach well beyond the event in strengthening our organization as a whole.”

The Midwest Conference is attended by some of the top Midwest Staffing firms.  The event has something for everyone and is attended by owners, managers and staffing professionals at all levels.  This year there will be a special session for “rookie staffing professionals” just entering the industry.  Member and non-member pricing offers a phenomenal value for the educational and networking opportunity experiences provided at the conference.

2014 attendee Andrew Stein, Director, Barton Professional Placement Group, had this to say, “In addition to networking with members, this conference is the place to get the latest on industry, economic, regulatory and social trends affecting staffing and recruiting.  The rich content and line-up of speakers was compelling enough to send three people and ultimately helped us tune our plans to drive our business.”

Patty Casey, ISSA Past President and Board Member states, “I am very excited to see the additional tracks this year.  Having tracks for rookies/young professionals, temporary hire, direct hire and owner/manager really increases the value of the conference.  We plan on sending multiple members of our staff this year.  It also helps us reach our education hours required for our certifications while still being an excellent value to our organization.”

Diamond Sponsor, Jodi Williams, Chief of Staff, Essential StaffCARE commented, “Essential StaffCARE is a proud sponsor of the Midwest Staffing Conference, and it has been a pleasure to exhibit each year.  The Midwest Conference has experienced substantial growth, and it has quickly become quite full of distinguished attendees! Our team is always eager to take part in the networking opportunities provided by the Midwest Conference. Over the years the Midwest Staffing Conference has proven to be very beneficial to ESC, and we look forward to attending for years to come!”
